The Mall in DC is the park area between the Lincoln Memorial and the Capitol , not a shopping mall! Here is a link to shopping in DC: http://washington.dc.retailguide.com/ml1dc.htm

Pentagon City is in Arlington, Virginia, and is a multi-story mall, easily accessible by Metro (subway). There isn't a shopping "mall" in the District of Columbia proper, unless you count the Shops at Georgetown, which isn't really Metro friendly (you can take a Connector bus from the downtown core to Georgetown though). The District of Columbia has many stand-alone stores but not the kind of shopping mall you typically find in suburbia.

Haha. It's called the National Mall. Unfortunately, it's not a REAL mall, it's like one huge park. There's lots of things there - Lincoln Memorial, Capitol Building (that's where Congress meets,) Washington Monument, the Smithsonian museums, World War II Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial... So yeah. Not as fun as shopping, but still pretty cool. By the way, I might see you there! My school's going Wednesday-Friday, but Friday itself we'll be at Hershey Park in Pennsylvania
